Liverpool have joined Arsenal and Manchester United in watching Atletico Madrid man Saul Niguez.
The 19-year-old is currently on loan at Rayo Vallecano, and the Anfield outfit were, according to the Daily Mail, presented as the Franjirrojos lost 4-2 to Diego Simeone’s men on Sunday.
The youngster played in an unfamiliar centre-back role, and struggled as the Vicente Calderon side returned to second place in the table.
But Brendan Rodgers’ men were said to have been impressed by Saul, and hope that a bid of around €10m will be enough to tear him away from the Rojiblancos.
Liverpool held a meeting with Saul's father Jose Antonio last week as he was in England to ascertain how concrete Premier League interest was.
