Joaquin Caparros has denied that his Levante side will be distracted from their League form by the Copa del Rey.
Levante played Barcelona in the Cup on Wednesday, only days after drawing with the same opposition in the League.
Barcelona however triumphed 4-1 in midweek, with the second-leg to come on Wednesday.
Caparros insisted to reporters that the affects of the Cup would not tell against Sevilla when La Liga resumed this weekend.
“Our focus was the Cup on Wednesday but they are different competitions. There’ll be no affect.”
Caparros also stressed that while returning to Sevilla was an emotional occasion for him, he expects his players to have clear heads.
“It’s a special game for me, it’s true. I’ve always said I go to Sevilla with emotion.
“But we are going to Sevilla with enthusiasm.
“Sevilla are playing well and make it difficult for the opposition.
“But we are doing well too. We can play well against teams of their level.
“We have a point from the second round of games and we must go step by step.
“First Sevilla. Time will tell where we end up but this will be a hard game.”
