‘Pep wants Pique’

Pep Guardiola will attempt to sign Gerard Pique for Bayern Munich with a fee between €36m and €40m mooted.

AS reports that Pique’s name is on a list of possible Bayern signings with the likes of David Luiz and Thiago Silva, citing a report by German publication Bild.

Any possible move would not take place until the end of the season.

AS also points to claims from Tuttosport that new Milan Coach Clarence Seedorf will attempt to make Betis’ Alvaro Vadillo his first signing.

Seedorf replaced Max Allegri at San Siro this week.

Vadillo is said to be open to the move but wants to hear other offers first, including those from the Premier League.

AS continue their transfer round-up by reporting that Monaco want Real Madrid’s Marcelo as a replacement for Eric Abidal should the former Barca defender retire at the end of the season.

Alvaro Morata is also linked with departing the Santiago Bernabeu despite Carlo Ancelotti’s repeated insistence the forward is not available. Bundesliga side Schalke are the latest to try and change the mind of the Coach, AS says.

They also claim Jose Mourinho will make another move for Atletico Madrid’s Diego Costa this summer, despite Atleti feeling confident they can retain the forward for another year.
