Espanyol forward Thievy Bifouma will reject interest from Rennes as he hopes to remain in La Liga.
Marca reports that Espanyol have an offer of €3m from Rennes for the forward but Bifouma hopes a deal can be reached with Malaga.
Bifouma is reluctant to uproot his family from Spain and return to his homeland, the report adds, while Rayo Vallecano are also showing interest.
It is expected that Bifouma’s future will be decided soon, perhaps as early as Monday, to give Espanyol time to replace the 21-year-old in the winter transfer window.
Marca also revealed that a doctor has official signed Bifouma off sick with anxiety, recommending a rest period of a couple of days.
