Real Madrid and Cristiano Ronaldo have released official statements offering their condolences at the death of Portuguese legend Eusebio.
The former European Golden Boot winner passed away on Saturday evening at the age of 71, and Los Blancos, along with their superstar forward, have told of their sadness at his death.
“Real Madrid Football Club are sad to hear of the death of Eusebio, one of the greatest players of all time. The club wish to express their condolences to his family and friends, to Benfica and to Portuguese football in general,” the Santiago Bernabeu outfit said on Sunday.
Ronaldo meanwhile, took to Twitter: “Always eternal. Eusebio, rest in peace.”
