Villarreal boss Marcelino has admitted that his men are up against it when they play Rayo Vallecao due to the opponents League position.
The home side are stuck in the relegation zone, and the Yellow Submarine’s Coach has conceded that the Franjirrojos will be all-out to win and get out of the bottom three.
“We’re playing against a team in dire need of the points,” he told a Press conference. “It’s always an uncomfortable place to play – but that’s no excuse.
“We will go there with the intention of winning, like we always do.
“They are the sort of team that always forces you to be tense. I’ve been telling the players that it’s a tough game all week.
“We’ve come from the Christmas break and I want the lads to know how difficult this match will be.”
