Claudio Bravo has mused on the weekend derby with Athletic Bilbao and says that Real Sociedad must consider themselves favourites for the win.
Sitting fifth in La Liga, La Real host their fourth place Basque rivals on Sunday evening in a match their goalkeeper is highly anticipating.
“It is an important game to begin with, it has special meaning for everyone, but we are used to playing these type of demanding games,” Bravo has commented in the build-up.
“The game has its attractions, but beyond the League positions, it is a game that we must win, which is how we feel in the dressing room.
“It is too early to talk about it being key to Champions League qualification, but it does leave you in a good position from which to start the year and to prepare for the second half of the League.
“Athletic are a light, aggressive team, a team that has picked up good results, we are motivated. You have to feel that we will be favourites, playing at home in front of our fans, we have to feel that.
“The key is to be ourselves, to play aggressively, to go out there with intensity and to be strong in our stadium, for a game that is important to our fans.”
