Ivan Rakitic has hinted at his willingness to ‘sit down and talk’ with Sevilla over a possible contract extension.
The Croat has attracted speculation over his future with continued form for Los Nervionenses coming alongside the fact taht his current deal with the club expires in June 2015.
“Currently, there is nothing to say. We have all had a holiday, I have not used the phone at all,” explained Rakitic to Sevilla’s official media centre.
“We are going to sit down, let us talk and then we will see how we can do it.
“Everyone knows that I am always at training and in the matches with the greatest desire.
“I walk around town and those who know me know even a little that I am enjoying it here and that it is the nicest thing to be a part of Sevilla.”
Rakitic got married, became a father and was made club captain during 2013.
“It has been a very good year, but I want to improve and continue to grow with the team. It is important that we continue in the same vein, we need to win, we need points.
“We have two games left in the first round of League fixtures and we must show people that we are prepared.”
