Jese strike defeats PSG

A single goal from Jese Rodriguez proved enough for Real Madrid to begin 2014 with a win over Paris Saint-Germain.

Los Blancos flew out to Doha this week for Thursday afternoon’s mid-season friendly with Coach Carlo Ancelotti’s side and came away with a 1-0 result, thanks to Jese’s first-half effort.

Madrid lined up with a strong first XI including Sergio Ramos, Diego Lopez, Cristiano Ronaldo, Asier Illarramendi and Alvaro Arbeloa, whilst a completely changed line-up competed the second half.

Jese’s effort 18 minutes into the match proved the difference in the contest, as he calmly finished after a neat burst forward from Illarramendi saw Alvaro Morata take possession and play the forward through.

Madrid return to League action on Monday evening with the visit of Celta Vigo to the Santiago Bernabeu.
