Rayo Vallecano forward Roberto Trashorras has admitted asking Leo Baptistao to come back to the club.
The young striker left the Franjirrojos in the summer to sign for Atletico Madrid. However, Baptistao has struggled for first team football at Vicente Calderon and is expected to leave in January.
Rayo have been heavily linked with a move for the Brazilian next month, and Trashorras has conceded that he has spoken with his former teammate about his future.
“Yes, I have talked to him,” the veteran told reporters. “And I told him to come to Rayo.
“Baptistao is a striker who knows how we play.”
