Sergio Aguero’s father has said that the Manchester City man is regularly on the phone with Lionel Messi, in anticipation of their Champions League meeting.
The Argentine international teammates will cross swords with their respective club sides in February and March next year in the Champions League Last 16.
According to his father, the anticipation of meeting Barcelona has Aguero ‘itching’ to meet his friend.
“He and Leo are always on the phone, and more so since the draw,” Leonel del Castillo has told Mundo Deportivo this week.
“They are very good friends. They laugh between themselves and already itching.
“I do not know what they have said, but they talk a lot. And I can imagine what it will be like when they are on the pitch!
“A score prediction? 2-0 to take into the second leg, and at least 0-1 over there. I love Messi, but also want my son’s team to win.
“It is a pity that City and Barca have been paired together now. We will see two very close games, with goals.”
