Barca look to secure Ter Stegen

Barcelona may reportedly look to secure Borussia Monchengladbach’s Marc-Andre ter Stegen sooner than originally planned, amid competition.

The Catalans had so far been believed ready to only close out a deal for the 21-year-old’s arrival next summer – and announce it – once Victor Valdes has publicly confirmed his intended destination come the end of his Camp Nou contract in June.

However, whilst Ter Stegen is understood to have opted for a move to Barca, reported interest from Juventus and Arsenal is seen by Mundo Deportivo as likely to accelerate Barca’s intentions.

The Blaugrana are now understood to be keen to close out a deal with Monchengladbach soon, to avoid upsetting the Germans and missing out on the player, who both Juve and Arsenal reportedly are willing to pay more for.
