Coke: Sevilla must continue

Jorge Andujar Moreno, ‘Coke’, has reflected positively on Sevilla’s first half to the season, but urged that they do not ‘settle’.

Los Nervionenses have spent the Christmas break in a positive mindset having avoided defeat in their last five League matches, four of which were won.

Sitting in seventh in La Liga, their 26-year-old full-back has determined that they must retain their improved form for the new year.

“The team is growing a lot, but we must not settle. We must keep working,” Coke has told reporters today.

“We have moved up many places in the League, in the Europa League we also finished top of our group, whilst we have had the disappointment of the Cup elimination.

“Overall, though, we have maintained our line and must now continue to grow.

“A rating for the year so far? A positive one because the team began with many new faces and last-minute additions, but little by little we have been showing ourselves as stronger in games.

“We have been improving, conceding fewer goals and we are up in the standings.”
