Juan Antonio Pizzi has insisted that he wants to take Valencia ‘back where they have been historically’.
The Argentine tactician was revealed as the new boss at the Mestalla on Friday, and on arriving in Spain, has claimed that he wants to make Los Che the club they once were.
“I’m very happy,” he told reporters at Valencia airport.
“I am surprised the Press are here and excited to be able to put Valencia back where it has been historically.
“It’s going to take lots of effort and calm to achieve our goals.
“But Valencia are one of the biggest clubs in Spain and in Europe and I think it has the potential to grow and to get back to where it has been historically.”
