Pizzi pens Valencia contract

Juan Antonio Pizzi has put pen-to-paper on his Valencia contract this afternoon, and admits that he is ‘confident’ they can improve.

The Argentine tactician was revealed as Miroslav Djukic’s successor on Friday, but sat down with Che officials today to sign a two-and-a-half year deal.

“I sign with great enthusiasm, confident that we can improve this group of players,” he told reporters.

“I am excited for the future, but I know that we will have to work hard and will need the support of all the fans.

“I can guarantee that the supporters will be proud of this team.”
