Ilkay Gundogan’s father has revealed that Real Madrid are interested in his son, and could table a bid in the summer.
The Borussia Dortmund midfielder has been heavily linked with a switch to Santiago Bernabeu since impressing in last season’s Champions League.
And the youngster’s father and agent has claimed that Los Blancos are keen on a transfer, but will only consider making an offer when the player’s back injury has cleared up.
“The interest from Madrid is intense,” Irfan Gundogan told AS. “They want to bid for my son.
“But at the moment, we can’t do anything until his back injury has gone.
“When he’s back playing regularly, then maybe we will talk.”
