Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has admitted that Sergio Aguero could be a doubt to face Barcelona in February.
The Argentine limped out of City’s weekend win over Arsenal with a calf injury that an initial diagnosis has determined requires four weeks on the sidelines.
However, the Premier League side’s manager has indicated that the injury may require longer and draw his expected return date to within 10 days of City’s Champions League Last 16 first leg clash at home to Barcelona.
“I’m not a doctor, so it is very difficult to say,” Pellegrini has mused to reporters this week.
“The doctor said that he has had at least one month. Or eight weeks. We’ll see. I don’t know how many weeks but it will be at least one month.”
