Txiki Begiristain has warned former side Barcelona that Manchester City will be strong when they meet in the Champions League Last 16.
The duo have been paired together in today’s draw for fixtures due to be played in February and March next year and that represent a reunion between the Catalans and their former winger and sporting director.
“This is the first time we have been in this draw. It will be an enjoyable tie,” considered Begiristain, who now works in a similar capacity at City, to reporters afterwards.
“It will be difficult given that we will be playing against an excellent team – a team of champions whose players have a great mentality.
“However, we are also doing very well and we are scoring a lot of goals which is filling us with confidence. We will be strong.
“I do not know if it could have been better, or worse! But it will be entertaining for everyone, for sure.”
