Atleti to make four changes

Diego Simeone is expected to rotate his Atletico Madrid side once more as they close out the Champions League group phase against Porto.

Atleti have already been assured of passage to the Last 16 of the tournament as Group G since the end of matchday four.

On from fielding a weakened outfit in Russia against Zenit St Petersburg for matchday five’s draw, El Cholo is expected to again list a new starting XI for tonight’s match.

In Thibaut Courtois’ absence, Dani Aranzubia is set to keep goal for a second consecutive game and speculation is that on from the weekend’s Copa del Rey win, Javier Manquillo and Toby Alderweireld will also keep their places, with Joao Miranda and Emiliano Insua coming in alongside them.

Josuha Guilavogui was previously believed in contention for this match, but injury has ended such hopes and Koke Resurreccion is believed set to keep his place in the middle of the park instead.

Diego Costa is set to come into attack, with Adrian Lopez moving out to the wing, pushing Arda Turan to the bench. Tiago Mendes didn’t make the squad and Gabi Fernandez is believed ready to return.

Probable line-ups

Atletico Madrid: Aranzubia; Manquillo, Alderweireld, Miranda, Insua; Gabi, Koke; Oliver, Raul Garcia, Adrian; Diego Costa

Porto: Helton; Danilo, Maicon, Mangala, Sandro; Fernando, Defour, Lucho; Varela, Jackson, Josue
