French radio station RMC have reported that Manchester City will bid for Barceloan defender Gerard Pique.
Radio Montecarlo have claimed that Coach Manuel Pellegrini is a huge fan of the central defender and will hope to exploit his current contract situation at Camp Nou.
The Spain international’s current deal ends in 2015, with talks currently on hold.
As such, the Premier League side will try and make a move, however they have not said whether that will be in January or next summer.
Pique signed for the Blaugrana from Manchester United, so would perhaps not want to sign for their city rvials.
And with Barcelona’s well-documented defensive worries, they would probably not want to sell another centre back.
