Jese: Now to win at Bernabeu

Jese has urged his Real Madrid side to beat Olimpic Xativa at Santiago Bernabeu when they return for the Copa second leg.

Los Blancos could only draw 0-0 with their lower-league opposition on Saturday, but the striker has claimed that they will play to win in the return leg at home.

“They played very deep. They defended with a lot of intensity and were all tucked in at the back,” he told reporters.

“The players were excited and so were the fans, who had filled the ground long before kick-off.

“Now we have to win at the Bernabéu, there is no room for excuses, we have to win the tie.”

The youngster then commented on Xativa’s artificial pitch.

“It was clear. It was very difficult to play here. The ball bounced a lot and we’re not used to it.

“They played closed up at the back and we had to play the perfect ball all of the time and that's very difficult.

“It looked like the goal was going to come but it is very difficult with the opponents playing like that.”
