Real Madrid have named their squad to face Xativa in the Copa del Rey and are without the suspended Cristiano Ronaldo and rested Xabi Alonso.
Ronaldo is serving a two-game ban for his red card in the competition’s final from last season, whilst Carlo Ancelotti confirmed in today’s Press conference that Alonso will be rested to avoid playing on tomorrow’s opponents Xativa’s artificial pitch.
Beyond this absent pair, Raphael Varane is likely to only be available come early January as he continues with issues with his knee, whilst Fabio Coentrao misses out as he continues recovery from a hamstring injury.
