Ter Stegen: Decision soon

Marc-Andre ter Stegen has affirmed that he will announce a decision regarding his future in the coming days.

The young German international goalkeeper has been increasingly linked with a move to Barcelona for next summer, to replace the outgoing Victor Valdes.

Talk has been split between a rumoured pre-contract agreement in place with the Catalans, and his club Borussia Monchengladbach  asserting no contact has been made amid contract renegotiations.

“In the coming days there will be a decision,” Ter Stegen has told Bild this week.

“The Those responsible at the club already know what will happen. I have not said that I am going to leave the club.

“I’m going to talk to [sporting director] Max Eberl and [managing director] Stephan Schippers on my contract and everything will come out shortly.”

Eberl has also recently commented on the situation from Monchengladbach’s perspective.

“We do not know right now what Marc will decide, but we consider he is a good person who will inform us immediately, once he has made a decision.”
