Laudrup bemoans ‘offside’ goal

Swansea City boss Michael Laudrup was left to reflect on a disallowed goal in his team’s 1-0 Europa League defeat at home to Valencia.

A Dani Parejo strike on 20 minutes sealed the win for the Spaniards and left the Dane lamenting an Alvaro Vazquez effort that was incorrectly ruled out for offside.

“I think it was one half for each side. Valencia were the better team in the first-half and dominated in midfield, although they did not create many chances.

“However, we had a disallowed goal that was at least one yard onside. In the second half we took over

and had three or four chances, but one was saved on the line and couple of others went very close.

“Maybe we will have to get that last point we need in Switzerland. I know in European competition you have to play until the last game and I knew from the beginning that it would be very difficult.

“It is not easy and you have to play until the last game,” he added.
