Pepe Mel has called for his Real Betis men to forget their League position when they face Lyon tomorrow.
The Verdiblancos go into their Europa League clash with the French outfit bottom of the Spanish top division, but the Coach has insisted that his team are not thinking about their domestic woes.
“Of course we’re in a difficult position in the League,” he told a Press conference. “We’re not used to being in that position.
“But we have the possibility of qualifying from our Europa League group and beating a great team like Lyon.
“We are focused on the League, but this game is also important for us. Lyon are a team full of quality, so we have to be aware of their class if we want to do well.
“If we win against Lyon and Rayo [at the weekend] then the pressure will be a lot less. We have to prove to ourselves that we’re good enough to win.”
