Real Madrid legend Alfredo Di Stefano has claimed that Cristiano Ronaldo is ‘the best’.
The Portugal international has been in sensational form this season, and is considered one of the favourites for the Ballon d’Or in January.
“Cristiano is a phenomenon,” Di Stefano told Marca. “He is number one – a barbaric player.
“I’d say he was the complete player. You can see that opponents fear him. For me Cristiano is the best.”
The honorary President then commented on the controversy surrounding Sepp Blatter’s recent remarks about the goalscorer.
“I think Blatter wanted to make a joke, and it just went wrong. There’s no doubt Ronaldo should win the Ballon d’Or.”
