Ronaldo set for Monday tests

Cristiano Ronaldo is set to undergo Monday tests to discover the extent of his muscle injury, although it is not expected to be serious.

The Real Madrid star was forced to come off six minutes after the break in the 5-0 victory at Almeria on Saturday with what appeared to be a dead leg.

According to Marca, Ronaldo did a light workout in the gymnasium on Sunday afternoon and the results of the tests will determine whether the Portuguese will feature in Wednesday’s Champions League game with Galatasaray.

Los Blancos have virtually ensured a place in the knock-out stages of the competition, while Ronaldo had planned some time off next week following the La Liga game with Real Valladolid, as he is banned for the Copa del Rey match against Olimpic de Xativa seven days later.
