Jagoba Arrasate has listed 20 players in Real Sociedad’s squad to face Shakhtar Donetsk this midweek.
La Real head out to Ukraine this Wednesday for the fifth matchday of the Champions League group phase in search of a first win of the campaign to boost their slim hopes of making the knockout stages of the competition, or at least Europa League advancement.
For Group A’s test out at the Donbass Arena, Coach Arrasate is able to call upon 20 players, but must make do without Carlos Martinez, who has yet to recover from injury and Markel Bergara, who is suspended.
Novelties to the squad announced are the returning Gorka Elustondo, youth teamers Enrique Royo and Jon Gaztanaga and midfielder David Zurutuza despite having suffered a sprained knee in the weekend win over Celta Vigo.
