Raul Garcia cautious after rout

Atletico Madrid midfielder Raul Garcia was happy with his side’s convincing 7-0 win over Getafe, yet sounded a note of caution.

Atleti’s victory keeps them within three points of leaders Barcelona but the 27-year-old, who scored twice with headers in the rout, believes Diego Simeone’s men should just worry about themselves and forget about the rest.

“The points were ours when [Juan] Valera got sent off and the work we did earlier in the week served us well,” he told reporters.

“On a personal level I’m happy, but what is important is that the team won so we could continue the good run that has got us to where we are now. However, we must not look at other teams.

“The philosophy here is that those of us who are in the side must do things right,” he explained.
