Parejo upbeat for Elche clash

Valencia midfielder Dani Parejo says he is confident Los Che can emerge from Sunday’s clash at Elche with all three points.

Miroslav Djukic’s men currently sit ninth in the table, three points off the European places after a disappointing start to the season. It is something Parejo hopes can be improved upon at the Martinez Valero.

“It’s an important game. We are playing for more than three points and going to Elche to win, although we try to win every game and this one will be no exception.

“I don’t know if the international break has been good or bad for us, but what I do know is that we are going there to win,” the former Real Madrid man told reporters.

“We should be higher up the table and victory would see us emerge stronger, more confident, and a home game next week could see things finally going in our favour.

“However, we’ve still not put together three consecutive wins and at Mestalla things are not going as we’d hoped.

“It’s not being made into a fortress and there lies the problem. We are not getting consistent results."
