Carlo Ancelotti is believed set to run with Casemiro and Isco in central midfield alongside Xabi Alonso this evening.
Indications from training since Sami Khedira’s anterior cruciate ligament injury sustained over the international break have been that Casemiro will deputise in the middle of the park for Week 14’s trip to Almeria.
Meanwhile, Isco is believed set to also feature in the middle of the park, alongside the Brazilian and Xabi Alonso, despite the latter having played in both of Spain’s friendlies in the past week.
Meanwhile, it is also speculated that Dani Carvajal and Alvaro Arbeloa will flank a central pairing of Sergio Ramos and Pepe this evening, with Raphael Varane still struggling with his knee, Fabio Coentrao injured and Marcelo having only just returned to training.
Marca also suggest that Karim Benzema may be rested in attack in favour of Jese Rodriguez being handed a start.
