Bale: I’m enjoying life at Madrid

Gareth Bale admits he is relishing life at Real Madrid after overcoming his injury and fitness problems at the start of this season.

“I’m now enjoying things on the pitch and feel very comfortable after getting over my injury. Everybody has made me very welcome,” revealed the Welshman during a presentation ceremony for Adidas’ Samba Pack boots at Madrid’s Polideportivo Antonio Magarinos.

Now recovered, Bale says he is only thinking about “giving the maximum” in each game, particularly in La Liga with Los Blancos having already qualified for the next phase of the Champions League.

“We have to go out and play every game to the maximum, which will allow us to concentrate more on the League,” he said.

Questioned about next year’s World Cup finals, Bale confessed it is something he thinks about, whilst at the same time acknowledging it is difficult for Wales to qualify for the final stages of the tournament, although not impossible.

“We have young, developing players who have been together for several years. I hope we can make it to the next one because that is what everyone dreams of,” he explained.
