Bendtner targets Barca, Madrid

Arsenal’s out-of-favour striker Nicklas Bendtner says that he holds ambition of playing next at Barcelona or Real Madrid.

The Denmark international has struggled in recent seasons for regular playing time with the Gunners and has had recent loan spells with Sunderland and Juventus.

The 25-year-old is expected to leave Arsenal in the January transfer window and has considered where his ideal destiatnion would be.

“If I could decide – Real Madrid or Barcelona,” Bendtner reflected to Politiken today.

“It is the sport that is most important. I’m going somewhere where I know I can be happy to play, on a team where I can score goals and preferably to win something.

“I do not want to sit on the bench, staring. I love playing lots of games.”
