‘Ter Stegen good enough for Barca’

Borussia Monchengladbach defender Alvaro Dominguez has rubbished suggestions that Marc-Andre ter Stegen is too young to do well at Barcelona.

The German goalkeeper has been heavily linked as Victor Valdes’ replacement at Camp Nou next season.

And his club teammate has claimed that the 21-year-old could do well with the Catalan giants.

"There's no such thing as being too young when you are good – and Marc is very, very good," he told Bild.

"I am just happy that he plays for Gladbach and I hope that he stays here. He can always join Barcelona in five years' time or so if he keeps up this form.

"We have not spoken about Barcelona yet."
