Villarreal have announced that they have signed Coach Marcelino Garcia Toral to a new two-and-a-half-year contract.
The tactician arrived at El Madrigal in January 2013 on an initial short-term deal with an option for another year and successfully guided the Yellow Submarine to promotion to the Primera Division.
On from a positive start to their return season in the top flight, which has them fourth in the standings, Villarreal have handed the 48-year-old a new two-year extension to take him through to the end of the 2015-16 season.
Marcelino and club President Fernando Roig will discuss the news at a conference on Thursday evening.
