Zlatan Ibrahimovic has admitted that he has ‘never played better’, as the race for the Ballon d’Or hots up.
The Sweden international is one of the front-runners for the annual award, but the Paris Saint-Germain attacker has claimed that Franck Ribery, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are all up there as favourites.
“I feel good,” he told reporters. “What matters is that I think about myself.
“I am progressing all the time as a player, and even though I am 32, I don’t think I’ve ever played better.
“There are many players [up for the Ballon d’Or]. Ribery has been fantastic and has won all the trophies there are to win.
“Then there is Messi, who is just pure talent. And Ronaldo has also been very good this year.”
