Raphael Varane has claimed that Cristiano Ronaldo is ‘spectacular’ after his hat-trick against Real Sociedad.
The Real Madrid attacker netted three times as Los Blancos beat La Real 5-1 on Saturday afternoon, and the French defender has reserved special praise for the former Manchester United man.
“Cristiano is special and spectacular,” he told the club’s official website.
“He gives his best in every match.
“The first half was very good in attack and defence. We are very proud of how we played. We always try to play like we did in the first half.
“We're are improving the way that we are playing and we have to keep working hard to improve every day.
“Maybe we relaxed a little [in the second half] but then the team reacted well and we scored another goal. We want to keep going in this direction and by playing with confidence and enjoying playing we can get even more out of ourselves.”
