Ozil: England more balanced than Spain

Former Real Madrid playmaker Mesut Ozil has spoken of the difference between Spanish and English football following his move to Arsenal.

The Germany international swapped the Blancos for the Gunners in the summer, and the attacker has claimed that the Premier League is more ‘balanced’ than La Liga.

“In the Premier League the level between the teams is much more balanced than it is in Spain,” he told The Sun.

“The strongest teams in the world are playing in England, and you can really feel that as a player.

“I know I’ll never have an easy gam here – every team can make you work and fight for a result.

“Since I’ve been here, every week there has been an ‘English Week’, meaning that every three or four days there is a great game.

“That does not happen in any other country in the world. That’s why everyone admires English football.”
