Ludovic Giuly has suggested that Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes has already been contacted ‘several times’ by Monaco.
The outgoing Barca No 1 has been strongly linked with a move to the principality outfit at the end of his Camp Nou contract next summer.
According to Giuly, Monaco have already started work on his possible arrival.
“He has been at Barca since he was little. He wants to find something more tranquil, with less pressure,” mused the former Monaco and Barcelona winger to BeInSport this week.
“He needs to find something new and I believe that Monaco have contacted him several times discreetly.
“He has also spoken to me about it. We have talked and he is happy to have been contacted.
“I do not know his decision, but there has been contact. I would be very happy to see him at Monaco.”
