Adriano, Pique work alone

Barcelona have continued preparations for welcoming Milan in the Champions League this week, without Gerard Pique and Adriano.

Adriano was forced to skip Friday’s Catalan derby having suffered a hamstring injury in the previous Tuesday’s win at Celta Vigo and today has continued to work on the margins of the main group in training.

Centre-back Pique was Barca’s other notable absentee from Monday morning’s workout, as he was set to a specific individual routine.

Pique had picked up a hamstring injury in action away to Milan just under two weeks ago and was rested for last midweek’s trip out to Balaidos before playing the full 90 on Friday at Cornella-El Prat.

La Blaugrana host Milan on Wednesday evening in the fourth round of group stage matches in the Champions League, before heading out to Real Betis the following Sunday.
