Reports in the British Press suggest that Manchester City could make a €35m bid for Sami Khedira in January.
The Real Madrid midfielder’s contract at Santiago Bernabeu ends in June 2015, and the Mirror have claimed that Manuel Pellegrini’s men could be willing to part with £30m to sign the Germany international.
With Asier Illarramendi and Isco joining in the summer, Los Blancos have an embarrassment of riches in centre midfield, but the paper insists that Carlo Ancelotti is desperate to keep Khedira.
The Premier League club however, believe they can persuade Khedira to join the Etihad side, and would make him one of their best-paid players.
