It’s reported Hernanes will ask Lazio to be sold in January, as Arsenal, Tottenham and Atletico Madrid lie in wait.
The Brazilian midfielder’s contract expires in June 2015 and talks over a renewal have stalled repeatedly.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport this morning, Hernanes is prepared to demand a transfer in the January window.
Lazio would be willing to accept his departure, but only for bids of at least €25m (£21m).
For several weeks he has been linked with Premier League clubs Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, while Atletico Madrid are also said have also joined the race for the playmaker.
The Gazzetta claims that of the teams vying for his signature, Diego Simeone’s men would be preferable for Hernanes and he is eager to join a Champions League club.
The Biancocelesti are prepared to release the midfielder now that they have signed Felipe Anderson for his role.
