Luiz Felipe Scolari has listed Diego Costa in a preliminary list of 45 players up for consideration to make the Brazil squad for next year’s World Cup.
The Atletico Madrid man is between the Selecao and Spain at the moment, with both countries seen as considering handing the forward a future at international level.
Scolari, who has already used Costa in two friendlies during 2013, has revealed that the player is in his sights, but that this does not guarantee anything.
“I have not said that Diego Costa will be called up,” reported Scolari at a Press conference on Tuesday evening.
“I have said only that he is in the group of 45 players in which we are interested in and that we can call.”
