Tissone: Madrid not impossible

Malaga midfielder Fernando Tissone believes a win at Real Madrid on Saturday is not impossible and that his team ‘can beat anyone’.

At the same time, the 27-year-old Argentine insisted that the key to the match lies in the Costa del Sol outfit defending well and playing a good counter-attacking game.

“It’s not an impossible task and we can beat anyone. Every team can lose because La Liga is very competitive, with many quality players.

“At any one time you could have a good shot and that might make the difference,” Tissone told Malaga’s official website.

“We must do a good job defensively and play well when we are on the counter-attack, which is one of our weapons.

“However, a match against Real Madrid is never normal. It’s one of the best clubs in the world and we are going to the Santiago Bernabeu, which is a very nice stadium and always full.

“We must try to face up to them as we would any other rival, with great determination, whilst being aware they are a great team. Things will be difficult but we have to play to our strengths and get a result.”

The former Udinese and Sampdoria man pinpoints Luka Modric as the player who makes Madrid tick.

“At the moment he is in very good form and has lots of confidence as opposed to when he arrived. He gives the team loads of quality in central midfield.

“Isco is another player of great quality who wants to continue to grow and prove his worth.

“We know we will be up against a great player who will make things very difficult for us. They already know him very well here,” he concluded.
