Valencia are eyeing Napoli defender Federico Fernandez to cover Adil Rami’s imminent departure to Milan.
Los Che boss Miroslav Djukic would like to strengthen his defensive options to compensate for the departure of the Frenchman, who has been in hot water with the Spanish club for comments made about Djukic and some of his teammates,
and is toying with the idea of bring Fernandez back to La Liga.
The 24-year-old [pictured, right] made 14 appearances on loan at Getafe last season, scoring one goal, but has had just two outings under Rafa Benitez at the Stadio San Paolo this term and is understood to be open to a move to Mestalla.
“We will evaluate Federico’s situation around November or December,” his agent Gustavo Goni told Tuttomercatoweb.
“The boy needs to play football as he is an Argentine international and wants to prepare for the World Cup in Brazil in the best way possible.
“Valencia is a possibility although he still wants to convince Rafa.”
