Jose Mourinho is reportedly considering an attempt in January to reunite with Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema at Chelsea.
The French striker is under scrutiny in the early weeks of the season for an indifferent patch of form for Los Blancos.
On from this, Portuguese outlet A Bola suggest that his former Coach at the Santiago Bernabeu, Mourinho, is keen on bringing him over to England in the January transfer window.
Having seen summer attempts for Wayne Rooney prove unsuccessful, the Stamford Bridge outfit have rotated this early season through Samuel Eto’o, Fernando Torres and Demba Ba, with Mourinho seen as still undecided on the position.
It is believed, subsequently, that Benzema is a target for The Blues and that a midseason bid may be forthcoming.
