Josue lamented Porto’s ‘lack of concentration’ as reason why they saw a winning advantage against Atletico Madrid turn into defeat.
Los Colchoneros fell behind to Jackson Martinez’s first-half effort but saw Diego Godin head in from a set-piece before Arda Turan’s finish from a neat free-kick earned the three points.
“We started very well, very strongly, and we scored the first goal,” Josue reflected post-match.
“We had chances to score the second but we were not able to do so. In the second half I think we got a bit stuck in the centre of the pitch, but it is important we get our heads up now for the games to come.
“I do not think we tired. It was a lack of concentration, which was our own fault. The game against Zenit? All the remaining games are important.”
