Iniesta wants Barca stay

Andres Iniesta has reiterated his desire to sign a new contract at Barcelona and end his career at Camp Nou.

The midfielder turned down an extension from the Blaugrana last month, but the Spain international has insisted that an agreement will come.

“The club and I want the same thing,” he told RAC1. “And that’s to close a deal.

“I’ve been at Barcelona since I was 12 and my dream is to end my career here.

“I feel that my best years are ahead of me and I want to spend them here at Barca.

“My objective is to retire here.”

Iniesta concluded by commenting on the standing ovation he received from the Parkhead crown on Tuesday evening.

“The ovation I got from the Celtic fans when I was subbed off moved me.”
