Juanfran Torres has acknowledged the differences that the Champions League has for Atletico Madrid, and the task facing them tonight against Porto.
Atleti are at the Estadio do Dragao this Tuesday evening for the second round of group stage games in the European competition.
“The Champions League is different to the Spanish League, with different players, different teams, the atmosphere is different,” mused Juanfran to Atletico’s official website this week.
“The thing we want to do is follow the path that we have been on in the League, where we are undefeated.
“Hopefully we can win in Porto and continue the streak, with a dynamic that is so good, we hope that it won’t change.
“Porto are a Champions League team and they have a very good team. Every year they are among the best in Europe and are currently champions of Portugal.
“They have great players, especially in midfield and attack. Their players are fast, strong and have much experience.
“If we are to win then we will have to be at our highest level.”
