Diego Simeone has named a 20-man Atletico Madrid squad to travel out to face Porto in the Champions League this week.
Atleti head out to the Dragao Stadium this Tuesday evening for the second round of matches in the group stage, currently leading opponents Porto on goal difference, with both teams having won their opening fixtures in Group G.
For the test in Portugal, Simeone has listed 20 players and includes Diego Godin, despite tests carried out on Sunday revealing that the centre-back had suffered a mild sprain to his left knee in Saturday’s Madrid derby.
Should the Uruguayan not make the starting line-up tomorrow night, it is expected that either Toby Alderweireld or Jose Gimenez will deputise.
Whilst Godin is seen as a doubt to make the match, Thibaut Courtois is believed fit to play, having picked up a bruised index finger in the final moments of Saturday’s win at Real Madrid.
Atletico Madrid squad to face Porto: Courtois, Aranzubia, Juanfran, Manquillo, Miranda, Godín, Alderweireld, Giménez, Filipe Luis, Insua, Gabi, Tiago, Guilavogui, Óliver, Koke, Cristian Rodríguez, Raúl García, Arda Turan, Leo Baptistao, David Villa
